Resident – New Collection

Bloom Pendant by Resident

Bloom Pendant by Resident

Resident set to release new collection at Euroluce during Salone del Mobile Milano. Fast growing New Zealand design house Resident will release its seventh collection of Furniture and Lighting at Euroluce 2017. The exhibition entitled “Dark Matter” will feature some bold and significant lighting innovations, designed to add value to the places where people live, work and play.

Also for release will be products from Residents first collaboration with London based designers Philippe Malouin and Tim Rundle.
This presentation is the continuation of Residents ongoing commitment to world leading design, bold materiality and exceptional fabrication.

New products include:

Bloom Pendant by Tim Rundle
The Bloom Pendants’ super-elliptical form is inspired by the gentle dynamic flow of paper lanterns. Its glorious lit effect is the result of transparency and light. Two contrasting materials – a finely perforated mesh core and frosted blown glass, combine to project a soft focus texture onto the inside of the shade. At the same time, an unobstructed pool of light is projected downwards onto objects below.

Circus Lights by Resident Studio
Circus is a remarkable system of interconnected rings which can be arranged in sequence to create striking vertical decoration. Designed by Resident Studio, each brass ring projects an elegantly diffused warm LED light source outwards around a 360 degree plane.
The revolutionary plug and play system allows for power sharing between rings and a large range of variations to suit spaces of various shapes and sizes. Circus is a theatrical and truly flexible system ideal for commercial and residential environments.

Offset Coffee Table and Stool / Side Table by Philippe Malouin
The Offset Stool and side table is a playful and irregular screw together furniture piece which displays the beauty of solid oak in generous proportions. Designed by Philippe Malouin, each Offset leg attaches to the top by way of an off-centre threaded connector, ensuring that each leg finally rests in an individualistic position.
